The official ribbon cutting on their new headquarters in the city's Larkin District took place Saturday. The new location pays homage to the party's past while getting them ready for upcoming elections.
Chairman Jeremy Zellner said, "Coming into this building is, what we're doing is respecting our past and moving our community forward with a strong, united Democratic party."
After the ceremony, the party introduced their endorsed county slate. County Democrats are throwing their weight behind Lynn Schakowsky for comptroller and Bert Dunn for sheriff.
