HAMBURG, N.Y. (WIVB) - When the Erie County Fair kicks off on Wednesday, there will be new security steps in place.
Security personnel along with Hamburg Police, State Police and deputies from the Erie County Sheriff's Office will be searching bags as patrons enter the gates and the Grandstand. Though no items are being specifically banned, authorities will be looking for items deemed unsafe.
There is no limit on bag sizes, but all bags will be checked, including coolers, strollers, backpacks, camera bags, purses and diaper bags.
At all locations, there will be a line for fair-goers without bags to expedite entry.
