BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - An ex convict turned debt collector who's accused of usingstrong arm tactics to make people pay up, faced arraignmentThursday in Erie County Court.
Prosecutors said they found several handguns and an AK 47 in thehome or business of Tobias Boyland.
Investigators said Boyland would often pose as a police officer,threatening to have debtors arrested because they had fallen behindon payments.
He pleaded not guilty Thursday but had little to sayafterward.
Boyland faces up to 50 years in prison if convicted.
