TOWN OF OSSIAN, N.Y. (WIVB) - A 16-year-old teen from Canaseraga was killed in an early morning accident in Livingston County.
Sheriff's say, Nathan Poddany, 18, was driving his truck on White Rd. in the Town of Ossian, when he lost control of the vehicle.
The truck drove off the shoulder of the road, striking several trees before overturning and coming to a rest on the passenger's side.
Connor Gilbert, was the only passenger inside the truck at the time of the crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Poddany was flown to Strong Memorial Hospital by a Lifenet.org Helicopter, with serious injuries.
Emergnecy crews had to extricate both victims from the truck.
The cause of the accident in under investigation.
