BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Buffalo Narcotics Detectives and Buffalo SWAT executed a search warrant in a South Buffalo neighborhood on Sunday. Several residents of the area called into our newsroom, alerting us to a number of officers and vehicles parked outside of a home on Hammerschmidt Avenue.
Witnesses told News 4 that detectives and a SWAT vehicle were on the scene and that what appeared to be tear gas was shot through a window.
According to a Buffalo Police report, 36-year-old Robert Wilson is accused of having chocolate-covered mushrooms in his home. He is also accused of having marijuana, a gun with 10 5mm rounds, a scale, bags, mushrooms that were growing and chocolate shavings. Wilson is facing drug and weapon charges.
