BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - The Buffalo Bills are teaming up with Blue Cross Blue Shield and the American Heart Association to tackle childhood obesity in Western New York.
The team kicked off its ninth season of the Play 60 Challenge Tuesday morning at Kleinhans Music Hall. Bills players took a break from the field to help 2,500 students from local schools get educated and inspired to lead healthier lifestyles. The goal is simple: get moving for 60 minutes, every day.
Running back Tashard Choice said, "Just go outside, break a sweat, have fun, ride a bike! You know, just little things that can help you out health-wise, that's the biggest thing. Kids are the most important. That's our next generation so you want to make sure they get the best information and the facts about it so they can live a healthy and long life."
