ALABAMA, N.Y. (WIVB) - A little boy involved in a weekend car crash in Genesee County has died from his injuries.
Ten-year-old Shawn Wolcott passed away Thursday at Women and Children's Hospital. Wolcott was injured in a crash last Saturday on Ledge Road in the Town of Alabama.
Police say the boy's father was driving when he suddenly swerved off the road and hit a power pole. The force of the impact split the vehicle in two.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
