TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) - A bridge in the Town of Tonawanda is now named for a state trooper who died nearby in the line of duty.
Governor Andrew Cuomo signed a law naming the I-290 bridge at the Colvin exit for the late trooper Kevin Dobson, Sr.
Trooper Dobson was struck and killed by a vehicle during a highway traffic stop in March 2011. He served 13-years with the State Police.
Signs with the new designation will be posted soon.
