IRVING, N.Y. (WIVB) - A 32-year-old man has died after drowning in Lake Erie off the shoreline of Evangola State Park Saturday night.
NYS Park Police say Brian J. McCluskey of Blasdell was with several family members at the park, when he waded into an unguarded area of the lake, with intentions of swimming to a boat anchored offshore.
After several minutes, his family reported he couldn't be found after he went underwater. When McCluskey was found under the water, he was brought ashore where CPR was performed.
The man was taken to Lakeshore Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
