BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - A new academic partnership is being celebrated in the local collegiate community Monday night. Erie Community College and St. John Fisher College are joining forces.
The partnership will allow students at ECC to complete their two years for an associate’s degree and then continue their coursework at St. John Fisher. Professors will be teaching courses on both campuses, so students will get to know the faculty from Fisher, before they even set foot on its campus in Pittsford.
Erie Community College President Jack Quinn said, "One of the things we always talk about at ECC is that you can start here and go anywhere, and while that "anywhere" always included St. John Fisher, we want to formalize that a little bit today. It's really a great match and a great partnership."
Students can start taking advantage of this partnership immediately.
