SPRINGVILLE, N.Y. (WIVB) - Family and friends will attend the funeral for a teen killed in a crash last week. Mourners laid flowers at the crash site on Route 219 over the weekend.
Anna Schroeder, 18, was killed when her car crashed into a pickup truck, two weekends ago. She just graduated from West Valley High School in June.
Classmate Dylan Westfall said, "She was the girl I walked with at graduation. So it really gets pretty personal with me. I talked to her all the time, we went to Ellicottville BOCES together."
"It's a real tragedy when something like this hits close to home, and it home for a lot of us,” said Westfall.
Schroeder’s funeral is Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Aloysius Church, in Springville. There will be a candlelight vigil in her honor at West Valley High School.
