There's a new way for boys and girls to enjoy a popular Niagara County destination.
The Herschell Carrousel Museum, at 180 Thompson Street in North Tonawanda, opened its new Kiddieland exhibit Saturday.
There are four new rides; a pony cart ride, kiddie helicopter ride, kiddie boat ride from Page's Whistle Pig, and a kiddie car ride. All the rides were first used in the 1940s and 1950s.
Kiddieland is a museum exhibit, so a ride token is included with museum admission. Additional tokens are $.50 each.
"This is amazing. This is really incredible. We just went through the museum, saw -- the history of these park rides and it's incredible. It's wonderful that they brought them back," said Sylvia Theule, who was visiting the Museum from Los Angeles.
The exhibit is open Sunday and Labor Day noon to 4:00 p.m., and the same hours on weekends through mid-October.
