DARIEN, N.Y. (WIVB) - It appears as though Kid Rock is reaching out to help one of his fans who was beaten into a coma during his concert at Darien Lake last Friday.
Jason McNeil remains in a coma at ECMC, where his wife and two young daughters keep vigil. McNeil was assaulted during the Kid Rock concert in what his family calls an unprovoked attack. He has been in a coma ever since.
Friends have set up an online donation page for McNeil's family. On Thursday, a donation of $5,000 under the name "Kid Rock" was made, with the statement, "Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Kid Rock and family."
