PAVILION, N.Y. (WIVB) - A man was cutting wood behind his home along Route 20 in Pavilion when he heard a fire alarm going off.
Jim Bearce's first thought when he saw the flames was to rescue his 10 dogs trapped inside.
"Luckily they were in the living room by the front door. I opened the door and shuffled them out real quick and that's about it," he said. "It's horrible. I didn't think a house would burn that quick, that fast."
No one was hurt, and all the dogs are okay, but the house is a total loss.
