SARDINIA, N.Y. (WIVB) (WIVB) - Erie County Sheriff's deputies have arrested a Town of Sardinia man for DWI, following a three vehicle accident, on Genesee Rd. in the Town of Sardinia.
At 5:00 p.m. Friday a motorcycle operated by Thomas J. Jett, 43, was traveling westbound on Genesee Rd. when he struck the back of a pickup truck, also traveling west. The truck was operated by Junior Meyers, 86, of Sardinia.
The motorcycle then entered the eastbound lane and hit an eastbound pickup being driven by Christopher Roche, 49, of Holland.
Jett was ejected from the motorcycle onto the pavement. He was transported to ECMC by Mercy Flight with multiple injuries.
Deputies have charged Jett with DWI and aggravated unlicensed operation. Jett refused to submit to a test to determine his blood alcohol content.
Jett's driver's license has been revoked for over 18 years for a conviction of DWI on April 10, 1995, in the Town of Concord. His driver's license is also suspended four times for other offenses. The investigation is continuing with further charges pending.
This is the 118th DWI arrest made by The Erie County Sheriff's Office, this year.
