BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - The NFTA wants to bring a fresh look to the Erie Canal rail station, to reflect the re-development in the Canalside area. The NFTA says the middle canopies and the archway across the tracks will be removed.
The NFTA says they plan to refurbish the remaining platforms and install new art and flags. The project is expected cost $136,000.
The renovations are expected to start mid-September. The changes are expected to be complete by mid-to-late November.
The NFTA provided the included image, that shows an artist's rendering of the changes.
