TONAWANDA, NY (WIVB) - A New York State Trooper was killed in an early morning accident along the Youngman Saturday.
New York State Police say 14 year veteran Trooper Kevin P. Dobson was killed in the line of duty while conducting a vehicle and traffic stop around 7:30 Saturday morning. Dobson was issuing a traffic summons when he was struck and killed by a passing motorist along the 290 east just past the Colvin Blvd exit.
Officials say Trooper Dobson was stationed out of the State Police Barracks in Clarence and was assigned to Interstate Patrol.
So far, police are continuing their investigation and no arrests have been made.
