WESTERN NEW YORK (RELEASE) - There are several travel advisories to be aware of for this coming week in parts of western New York.
Work is continuing on the culvert and bridge rehabilitation project on NY Route 78, Transit Road, in the village of Depew, Erie County, that will result in new travel restrictions beginning on Monday, July 15.
Starting at 9 a.m. Monday morning, Transit Road, between George Urban Boulevard and French Road, will be reduced to one lane in each direction. Access to and from Columbia Avenue and Olmstead Avenue from Transit Road will be closed to all traffic.
The NYSDOT says the lane and access closures are expected to last for 4-6 weeks.

Sunday, July 14
Lane closures are scheduled for Sunday, July 14, from 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., on Interstate
290 eastbound in the vicinity of Exit 2, Colvin Boulevard (NY Route 425). The right two lanes
will be closed to conduct bridge maintenance.
Monday July 15
Nightly lane closures will occur on Monday, July 15, from 7:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. on Interstate
290 westbound, between Exit 1, NY Route 284 (Delaware Avenue), and Interstate 190, to
conduct highway paving.
Tuesday, July 16
Nightly lane closures will occur on Tuesday, July 16, from 7:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. on Interstate
290 eastbound, between Interstate 190 and Exit 1, NY Route 284 (Delaware Avenue). In
addition, the Interstate 190 southbound ramp to Interstate 290 eastbound will be reduced to one
Wednesday, July 17 through Friday, July 19
Nightly lane closures will occur on Wednesday, July 17 through Friday July 19, from 7:00 p.m.
until 6:00 a.m. on Interstate 290 eastbound, between Exit 1, NY Route 284 (Delaware Avenue),
and Exit 5, Interstate 990, to conduct highway paving.
