EDEN, N.Y. (WIVB) - Children whose parent(s) are deployed could be sent to a camp for a week with other military kids.
It is all part of the Erie County American Legion, Legion Auxiliary, Sons of the Legion and the Legion Riders annual project called "Veterans Helping Veterans."
This year's project is called "Operation Military Children" where kids who have parent/parents deployed could have the chance to go to camp with other children in the same boat as them.
A basket raffle is being held Sunday at the Newell Faulkner American Legion Post #880 in Eden until 6 p.m. Proceeds raised from the event will go towards sending 20 children to Camp Pioneer in Angola for one week.
