LACKAWANNA, N.Y. (WIVB) - A special four legged guest starred at a fundraiser for the Buffalo Animal Shelter Saturday night at the Lake Erie Italian Club.
Guest of honor, Phoenix was posing for the cameras at the Paws for Love event giving the guests a furry friend to play with.
Proceeds from the event go towards the Friends of CBAS which is a medical fund that helps care for animals just like Phoenix who was badly burned back in October.
Phoenix's foster mother Judi Bunge talked about caring for an animal such as her own that has gone through so much. She said, "It's been quite a journey, but he's really been exceptional in his healing. He really has a wonderful personality for everything he's been through, he's just come a long way."
