DUNKIRK, N.Y. (WIVB) - News 4 reporter Lou Raguse was presented the Community in Action award in Dunkirk on Thursday by the Resource Center as part of the organization's 25th annual Disability Awareness Awards celebration.
The award is for an individual who was brought to light and acted in a positive manner to correct a specific action or situation that has had a negative impact on a person or particular group with disabilities. The Resource Center employs Miguel "Mikey" Gonzalez, who was the victim of bullying until a News 4 report brought the issue to light.
The Resource Center presented the award at the Dunkirk Resource Center with Mikey and his co-workers present.
After posing for a picture, Lou and Mikey joined the Resource Center's workforce to show their "4s."
