BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Lorey Schultz has been reinstated as Deputy Director of Communications for the City of Buffalo.
Buffalo School Superintendent Dr. Pamela Brown had tried to hire Schultz as Chief of Public Relations for the school system, but Brown failed to go through proper channels.
The School Board took issue with Schultz's hiring, and voted 6-2 to not approve of the $115,000 position.
It is unclear if Schultz, who apparently had signed a contract with Brown prior to the School Board's decision, will seek legal action.
