BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - New York Senator Charles Schumer will head to Washington on Wednesday and has his own questions about Syria. He's not completely confident with the President's push to launch a strike.
Sen. Schumer made it very clear on Tuesday that he still needs to briefed on specifics, though he added he has great faith in military leaders on their timeline for action, which could be the week of September 9.
"I have seen the resolution the President has sent to the Congress and I think it is too broad based. It has to be narrowed and narrowed greatly," Sen. Schumer said.
The Senator wants to make sure troopers are prohibited on the ground, an idea he believes people on both sides of the aisle can get behind. And he also wants to see set time limits to make sure this does not turn into a long-term engagement.
