AMHERST, N.Y. (WIVB) - A teenager struck by an SUV died Wednesday of her injuries.
On June 9, according to Amherst Police, Erin Suszynski and Briana Francois had crossed from one side of Maple Road to the median, and were struck attempting to reach the other side.
On Wednesday, Erin died at Women & Children's Hospital in Buffalo.
Both girls were 13 at the time of the incident. Police did not charge the driver of the SUV.

The family of Erin Suszynski wishes to express their deep thanks and appreciation for all of the prayers, warm wishes and the abundance of cards received. They also send warm thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of Women & Children's Hospital.
Erin passed away quietly Wednesday morning with her family at her side.
They ask for continued prayers and privacy during this difficult time.
Francois has been released from the hospital.
