ANDOVER, N.Y. (WIVB) - Hundreds of local athletes swam through mud, climbed over walls and ran through a field of wires on Saturday.
The Tough Mudder endurance race is in town in Andover this weekend, bringing athletes from all over the country and NYS to compete.
Around 15,000 participants ran through the 12-mile obstacle course on Saturday, and about 5,000 are scheduled for Sunday's run.
After the run, participants could enjoy a cold one from Sanzo Beverage in Olean.
The event raises money for the Wounded Warrior Project, which provides programs and services to injured service members.
