BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - A national recall is having an impact in western New York. Both Tops and Wegmans are recalling products.
Here is what Tops has listed on its website:
- Resers ambrosia pudding
- Resers pistachio pudding
- Resers ambrosia salad
- Resers four bean salad
Here is what Wegmans has listed on its website:
- Resers coleslaw
- Resers potato salad
If you have any of these products from either store you can return them for a full refund.
Reser’s Fine Foods is recalling those products as well as 23,000 pounds of chicken, ham and beef products due to possible listeria contamination. The company and the Federal Food Safety and Inspection Service have received reports of people getting sick from eating some of the products.
Listeria bacteria can cause serious illness, typically in older adults, infants and especially pregnant women, who are ten times more likely to be infected.
