Just before 4 a.m. Saturday morning Niagara Falls police were called to an apartment on North Ave for a shooting.
The victim, a 39 year old Niagara Falls woman, suffered two gunshot wounds. Richard Moore, 50 years old of Winston-Salem, NC and Cammesoa Williams, 42 years old also of Winston-Salem, NC. were arrested at the scene.
Niagara Falls Police say Moore and Williams were in town for a wedding and met the victim through a friend. An argument and physical fight ensued between the victim, Williams and a third woman in the apartment.
According to a release from police Moore then shot the victim in the abdomen before he and Williams left the scene in their rental car. Moore and Williams then returned to the scene and Williams shot the victim as well, this time in her buttocks, with the same handgun.
The victim was rushed to ECMC for emergency surgery but did not survive.
The two suspects are now both charged with murder as well as criminal possession of a weapon and criminal use of a firearm.
The victim's identity is not being released pending the notification of family members.
