CHAUTAUQUA, N.Y. (WIVB) - A Celeron woman is facing charges after allegedly passing pills to an inmate at the Chautauqua County Jail. The sheriff’s office says 44-year-old Laurie A. Schrecengost was visiting 25-year-old Kevin W. Schrecengost last week, when she allegedly passed him pills.
The sheriff’s office says the visitor passed the inmate two Morphine Sulfate pills, two Xanax pills and two Oxycodone pills. Both Laurie A. Schrecengost and Kevin W. Schrecengost were arrested.
Kevin W. Schrecengost is charged with first-degree promoting prison contraband and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Laurie A. Schrecengost is charged with first-degree promoting prison contraband, third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance.
The visitor was arraigned in Town of Chautauqua Court and committed to the county jail on $5,000 bail.
