Rochester, N.Y. (WIVB) - Wegmans and Teamsters Local 118 have reached a tentative contract agreement.
Wegmans Food Markets announced the resolution in an email Saturday night.
According to Wegmans, both sides negotiated Friday and Saturday ahead of the tentative deal.
They are not releasing details of the agreement. It would replace an expired contract which covered 900 warehouse workers, drivers and skilled tradespeople at Wegmans headquarters outside Rochester.
The dispute between the company and union at one point led to a contract proposal by Wegmans being rejected by the union, and at another point with a banner flown over Orchard Park before a Buffalo Bills game, critical of the company.
Union members must review and ratify the contract before it can take effect.
