ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVB) - Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz announced Thursday that Winterfest 2013 will be held at Chestnut Ridge Park this coming weekend.
Festivities for the event feature: a Glenn Colton Concert from 11-noon, Western New York Bike Association mountain bike races, and a snow sculpturing competition starting at 11a.m., the judging will be at 2p.m.
Friends and families are encouraged to enjoy sledding, snow bowling, tobogganing, snowboarding, arts & crafts, wood branding, marshmallow roasting from 11 – 4.
Hay rides are also available from noon – 3pm for $3 per person.
Registration for the WNYMBA mountain bike races will take place from 11:30am – 12:45 pm, with the short race beginning at 1pm and the long race beginning at 1:40pm. The races will start and finish at the top of the 12-yr. old sled hill.
Winterfest 2013 is on Sunday, Janaury 27th from 11a.m. to 4p.m.
