BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Western New York school districts are making the ranks for “biggest overachievers” in a 48-county region. Business First released the rankings, and five western New York districts are in the top 10.
The Sherman School District topped the list, Barker Schools came in at number two, Pine Valley is number four, Cuba Rushford made the list at number nine and Cassadaga Valley is number 10.
The magazine compare each district’s academic performance with its socioeconomic rating. The magazine gives top marks to districts that do better academically than their socioeconomic structures would suggest they will do.
