TEMECULA, Calif. (AP) — Ten people have been injured in a crash of a tour bus that was headed to a casino in northern San Diego County.
The Los Angeles Times reports (http://lat.ms/15PsG27) the bus careened off the road and crashed into some trees at about 10:50 p.m. Sunday. The driver and nine passengers were taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
The California Highway Patrol says 18 passengers were aboard the bus that was headed from Los Angeles to Casino Pauma, about 25 miles southeast of Temecula.
Authorities say the driver told them the bus suffered brake failure and was unable to stop as it entered a curve. Drugs and alcohol don't appear to be involved.
The incident remains under investigation.
