NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (AP) - It's a major tourist attraction that draws millions of visitors each year, but Niagara Falls State Park didn't make a federally funded tourism website's list of New York's must-see places.
New York Sen. Charles Schumer has launched an effort to correct the oversight by Discover America. The Niagara Gazette reports that Schumer has written a letter to Discover America officials, urging them to highlight the beauty of Niagara Falls State Park and Buffalo's historic architecture.
Empire State destinations currently on the list include the Statue of Liberty, the Finger Lakes and the Adirondacks.
