NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) - The Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station survived the last round of base closings, but another one is coming.
New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrand toured the base on Friday. The Senator is pushing for additional expansion and improvements to keep Niagara Falls as an essential part of America's defense infrastructure.
"There's so much potential for growth. And what's most exciting is during this very tough economic time, this base provides such opportunity for economic growth. It is something that creates opportunities, not only for our National Guard and Reserves, but for all of the security forces that we desperately need to keep our country safe," said Senator Gillibrand.
