LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WIVB) - Mercy Flight was called to an accident in Lockport Friday.
The Niagara County Sheriff's Office says the female driver of car stopped at stop sign at Sunset and Leete but apparently didn't see a truck coming. When 19-year-old Laken Pearce pulled out into the intersection, her car was T-boned and the impact pushed both vehicles into the ditch.
Pearce was taken by Mercy Flight to hospital with serious injuries. The truck driver, Paul Lunick, 49, was not hurt.
Charges are pending.
