BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - A big day is dawning in Albany, ahead of the Governor's State of the State address. So what can we expect? In the governor's third State of the State, people are expecting him to speak about gun control, the economy and jobs.
Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown shared his take, saying, "The governor has been very focused on Buffalo and western New York whether its through the regional economic development council or the billion dollars for Buffalo."
Brown says he's been particularly impressed with the way New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has addressed the state the last two years, and how he's followed up on his promises.
Brown said, "In the two State of the State addresses that Andrew Cuomo has delivered he has been particularly effective in getting the depth and breadth of the agenda he has laid out, actually achieved."
But does the mayor think Buffalo will be a main focus in this year's speech?
Brown said, "In last year's speech, Buffalo was front and center. I think that the governor will focus on things that are beneficial to the entire state of New York."
Cuomo will address the legislature at 1:30 p.m.
