DUNKIRK, N.Y. (WIVB) - Firefighters were standing by as a small airplane approached the Dunkirk Airport Thursday afternoon.
The pilot had trouble deploying the plane's landing gear. As the single-prop plane descended to the runway, only some of the wheels were down.
Sheridan Fire Chief Aaron Brinkman said, "We have a plan set in place and we just put it to good use today. We came down, stood by for him, just in case something went wrong but the pilot did a great job landing it and everyone walked away good."
Two men on board the plane were uninjured in the landing. Their names were not released.
