NIAGARA FALLS, ONT. (WIVB) - A Niagara Falls, Ontario motel was trashed this past weekend following a Friday night dance attended by Welland high school students.
The Niagara Falls Review reports that 22 rooms in the Avenue Inn on Lundys Lane were left in shambles. Doors were shredded to pieces, sinks ripped from the walls and holes left in the walls.
The melee followed Welland's Notre Dame's College School semi-formal dance on Friday. The students booked 35 rooms at the motel to have a safe place to party after the dance.
The motel owner thinks the damage estimate is somewhere between $50,000 and $100,000.
Police are reportedly saying it is a civil issue and are unlikely to press charges.
