BUFFALO, NY (RELEASE) - On Thursday, July 5, the "CBS Buzz Tour" will visit Buffalo -- the day after the tour officially launches from Boston during CBS's live broadcast of the "Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular."
CBS reality star Alex Boylan (winner of the second season of "The Amazing Race") will join the CBS star-branded and mobile studio-equipped "CBS Buzz Tour" bus in Buffalo, bringing activities and giveaways as a thank-you to the loyal fans who continue to make CBS America's Most-Watched Network. Alex will also engage viewers from anywhere in the U.S. from Buffalo and beyond with "Inside Buzz" CBS.com webisodes, blogs and social media contests and posts.
In Buffalo on July 5, Alex Boylan and the "CBS Buzz Tour" bus will be at Templeton Landing (2 Templeton Terrace) from 5pm – 8pm in affiliation with News 4 WIVB-TV.
Covering 15,000 miles and 60 markets in 60 days through Aug. 31, the "CBS Buzz Tour" ( #cbsbuzz ) will go straight to the fans, providing CBS experiences unique to each market. Alex Boylan and, in many markets, Burton Roberts ("Survivor") will lead an array of in-person fan activities, including contests, giveaways and the opportunity to be digitally inserted into cast photos of several CBS series, which can be shared on social media sites. Among the contests are social challenges that will encourage local fans to interact with the Buzz Tour bus on its route across the U.S. through photo submissions, trivia contests and more. .
Fans can also follow the fun from anywhere, thanks to companion on-the-road "Inside Buzz" webisodes, social media posts and contests. The "CBS Buzz Tour"-related schedules and content – including an interactive map with video and slide shows of each stop and links to corresponding social accounts – will be accessible via www.cbs.com/buzz .
