ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVB) - C.J. Spiller has been productive when he's carried the ball the last two weeks, but make no mistake - that sprained ankle is still bothering him.
During Sunday's game against the Bengals, Spiller rushed ten times for 55 yards, but also spent a big portion of the day limping badly on the sidelines.
"I definitely wasn't 100 percent," said Spiller. "It's all about having that confidence to cut off it. That's the biggest hurdle that I know that I face each week when I go into the game."
Spiller did not practice Wednesday, but still expects to play Sunday at Miami.
"It’s a nagging thing, the ankle, on a player who is obviously very fast, who obviously makes quick cuts," said Bills Head Coach Doug Marrone. "The strain and pressure on that thing is quite a bit. He’s just working extremely hard to come back. He’s in better shape than he was before, but if you were to ask me is he 110 percent? He’s not."
