(WIVB) - Canisius star Billy Baron is one of 50 players on the watch list for this season's Bob Cousy Award, given to the top point guard in the nation.
Baron, a senior, has already earned MAAC Preseason Player of the Year honors, along with Big Four Preseason Player of the Year.
He is coming off a season where he averaged 17.2 points per game, along with five assists per game.
The Cousy list will be whittled down to 20 names in February, then five finalists in March before the winner is revealed.
Canisius opens the season at home against South Dakota on November 11th.
