Ralph Wilson Stadium - Sunday's Bills-Titans game will be blacked out locally—there will be no Buffalo TV. At last check, the Bills had more than 11,000 tickets remaining unsold for their sixth home game of the season.
WIVB-TV Channel 4 will show the Jets-Redskins game instead of the Bills at 1pm Sunday. And the Bills may be forced to black out the final two home games this year because of sluggish sales. They had three home blackouts last year as well.
The Bills Brad Smith opened some eyes last week with his first start at wide receiver for the team. Smith caught four passes for 77-yards--one of them a 36-yard touchdown.
"He made some plays," says Bills Head Coach Chan Gailey. "He was a factor in the game, and he's a big target out there. I am anxious to see how he can continue to improve."
"I am feeling more comfortable," Smith told News 4 Sports. "The offense took a process of learning it for me and not just the big parts--where to line up and the plays, but the details of it, and I'm still in that process. There's so many little things that you can take advantage of and that coach expects, and I'm still learning."
Gailey says he's not optimistic that safety George Wilson will be healthy enough to return to the lineup Sunday. He's missed the last two games with a neck injury.
