It's already one of the best stories of the new NFL season-- the Gronkowski family of Williamsville. All three of them will be on NFL opening day rosters this weekend.
Rob Gronkowski is a tight end for the Patriots. Dan Gronkowski is a tight end for the Broncos. And Chris Gronkowski is a fullback for the Cowboys.
The facts say less than one-percent of high school football players make it to the NFL. In the Gronkowski family, it's 100-percent.
"It's great," says Rob Gronkowski, the Patriots 2nd round draft pick this year. "We keep in touch, and they're both doing well, they both made the active roster. It's great having all three of us in the NFL, and I'm glad they're there, because we all support each other."
Dan Gronkowski was traded to the Denver Broncos last Saturday, after making it through his second training camp with Detroit.
"There are three of us now in the NFL, which is absolutely amazing," says Dan. "We all talk to other, we're all best friends, and we really get along."
As a rookie fullback with the Cowboys, Chris says the Gronkowski brothers beat the odds by driving and pushing each other.
"Lots of hard work," he says. "We've been training since we were 13-14 years old. You grow up with five boys, there's a lot of competition. You've got to beat out the other brothers, so I think that kinda played into it."
There haven't been three brothers in the NFL in twenty years. And the Gronkowskis are now just the 25th family in NFL history, to have three sons playing at the same time.
