ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVB) - Quarterback Matt Leinart's time with the Buffalo Bills is already over. Just days after signing him, the Associated Press reports the Buffalo Bills have already released him.
NFL.com says Friday that Leinart sent out a tweet that read, "Tough game. Tough situation. No excuses. (Thank) you to the Bills organization!" The tweet is no longer on Leinart's Twitter page.
Leinart started Thursday night, in what turned out to be a disastrous pre-season battle with the Detroit Lions at Ralph Wilson Stadium. The Bills lost 35 to 13.
According to the Associated Press, the team has released Leinart.
