BUFFALO, NY (WIVB.com) - The Buffalo Bisons bounced back after being swept in a double header against Scranton on Saturday. Ricky Romero was on the mound for eight innings for the Bisons on Sunday. He threw 93 pitches, 62 of those going for strikes.
On offense, the Bisons had an impressive fifth inning, recording four runs with the help of Jim Negrych. Negrych hit one to first baseman, Dan Johnson. The ball went off of Johnson's glove, allowing three runners to score. The Bisons led 6-0 after five innings.
In the sixth inning, Sean Ochinko added a solo homerun to give the Bisons a 7-1 win.
Sunday's game, marked the final contest before the All-Star break. Jim Negrych and Mauro Gomez will represent the Bisons in the All-Star game on July 17th in Reno Nevada.
