BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - The Buffalo Bisons are already excited for next season. The team announced Thursday that opening day of the 2014 season is Thursday, April 3rd against the Rochester Red Wings.
"It's always fun to look ahead and have the ability to think about the excitement of another summer at Coca-Cola Field," said Mike Buczkowski, Vice President/General Manager in a press release.
Other dates to remember for next season are:
School Kids Day on Thursday, June 5 against the Toledo Mud Hens (10:35 a.m.),
Star Wars Night on Saturday, June 7 against the Syracuse Chiefs (6:05 p.m.)
Independence Eve Celebration on Thursday, July 3 against the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (6:05 p.m.).
Next summer will include 11 Friday Night Bash games, one more than this season. The Bisons will use the customary 7:05 p.m. start time for most evening games after the first month of the season. Most Sundays and weekday afternoon starts will have a 1:05 p.m. first pitch while a 6:05 p.m. first pitch will be used for various special event games.
