ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVB) - The Bills have officially ruled out quarterback Thad Lewis for today's game against the Chiefs, naming Jeff Tuel as starting quarterback.
Tuel, an undrafted rookie, will be making his first career NFL start. He saw some game action earlier this season against the Browns when starter EJ Manuel went down with a knee injury.
Lewis, who has been starting since the Manuel injury, is out with bruised ribs. He took several big shots last Sunday against the Saints and was listed as doubtful on this week's injury report.
The Bills host the Chiefs today at 1pm.
