(WIVB) - Now that we know that NHL players will be able to play in the Winter Olympics once again next year, countries are beginning to sort through their prospects. Sabres goalie Ryan Miller, South Buffalo's Patrick Kane, and Amherst's Brooks Orpik are early contenders to make Team USA.
All three players have been invited to next month's USA Hockey National Team Orientation Camp in Virginia.
48 players are on the invitation-only list. That number will get whittled down, as February's Olympic Games approach.
