BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - The Buffalo Bisons will have a former All-Star in the lineup later this week, with Blue Jays shortstop Jose Reyes set to join the team on a three-game rehab assignment.
Reyes has been out since mid-April with a severely sprained ankle.
His first game will be Friday night against Durham, set for a 7:05pm start at Coca-Cola Field.
He injured his ankle back on April 12th, while sliding into second base in a game against the Royals. Prior to the injury, Reyes had been pacing the Blue Jays' offense, hitting .395 in ten games.
Reyes is scheduled to play in all three games from Friday through Sunday.
