BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Tuesday is a big day for the Buffalo Sabres, within hours the team's new owner will be in the front office.
News 4 went to WGR 550 SportsRadio to talk with morning show host Jeremy White about "Pegula Day."
White said, "It's been since November 30th when we first heard about Terry Pegula and his interest in the Buffalo Sabres. I think if you were to design an owner in a lab, this is exactly what Buffalo would want, someone who is got the kind of of money to spend on this team, and maybe the bigger part is the passion of hockey fans."
After the sale is finalized on Tuesday, NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman will join Pegula for an 11 a.m. press conference in the HSBC Arena atrium. You will be able to watch the conference live on Channel 4 and streaming on WIVB.com.
"Happy Pegula Day, it seems to be what Sabres fans are saying," said White.
"The most interesting thing to me is we haven't met him yet. We've only hear about him, we met his daughters through Twitter and today's the day to finally meet him," said White.
